Is Persuading Pluto Possible? ~ 21 May 2011

Last week I labored over the html code in my e-mail campaign’s innards making all the fonts exactly how I want. Finally! What a great time to use them and book consults, buy things and check out the vast archives of my website... especially in these crazy times... crazy times exploited by those insisting on terrorizing others with tales of the end of the world, chaos, catastrophe and more... much of which is embellished beyond sensibility. Consider the assignment of upcoming catastrophe to the overly hyped Comet Elenin...

The onslaught of e-mail forwards and frantic online posting about Comet Elenin forced me to take time away from other priorities to research and make sense of this cometary apparition once and for all. This once-in-a-very-long-time comet reminds me of the photon belt phenomenon of years past. Remember that from back in the 1990's? Did we experience three days of darkness on Earth because photons made it happen? Perhaps symbolically, but never physically as predicted and touted as the disaster-de-jour. What about the Nostradamus scare in the late 1980's during which prophets promised a major earthquake in California. Y2K anyone? Do you recall the May 2000 Taurus collection of planetary coin that was going to split the planet or cause axial tilt? What about last year’s cardinal cross that promised to destroy the planet? These are just past examples of the same fear-mongering thing being done to Comet Elenin. It’s another of those attempts to scare the crap out of people for those who never got their turn at story telling time around the campfire as a child. Enough of this nonsense is enough, especially when it minimizes actual concerns a person might need to keep in the forefront of attention. You know, the economy, civility in discourse, remaining vigilant about terrorism threats while not becoming agoraphobia with paranoia, and pondering if Donald Trump’s hairpiece is indeed a graft from a Sasquatch.

Is Comet Elenin moving through the asteroid belt? Yes. Will that deflect it? We’ll have to see. Will it emit x-ray radiation as it passes by? Yep. Is it Planet X? No. Is it Nibiru? No. Will it destroy the Earth? No. Will we ever see it again? Not unless you plan on incarnating at least another thousand more times in this solar system. Is this fire in the sky? No, it’s actually ice and dust, reflecting sunlight and dramatically shimmering as it nears the Sun. Is it the blue star? No. It’s not a star. It’s not blue. Do comets have an effect? Yes. Ask Capricorn President Richard Nixon about Comet Kohutek coming closest to the Sun in his sign back in the early 1970's. Comet Halley booted dictators Baby Doc and the Marcos duo and gave Apartheid a major push forward in 1986. Throughout history, the rise and fall of leaders has been a consistent cometary theme. Possibly this is because people decide the “omen’s portending” requires actualization and take a course of action inspired by the heavens to invoke changes and take on campaigns they believe will make a difference on the planet. That could be cool if applied this time instead of the recycled EOTW refuse many attempt to invoke.

How about Elenin then? Will it boot anyone? Well, its node, heliocentrically, is in Aquarius. So, in big-picture theory, it aspires to do things that work for humankind. Its nodes line up with the Earth-Sun axis of Kim Jong Il - fingers crossed, assuming we do not get a scarier replacement. In September of this year, the comet reaches perihelion while the Sun is in Libra. So Libran political leaders not truly serving the needs of humankind might be due (or overdue) for removal from power.

Collectively, one might take a message from one of the after effects of the tragic Tucson shooting of last January to invoke this comet’s Aquarius/Libra template. Ron Barber, an aide of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who was wounded twice in the mass shooting, in partnership with the University of Arizona, established the Center for Civility. This organization aspires to take polarized political factions and work with them to find common ground upon which solutions that work for the greater good can be built. Nice. And a boost and a bump from Comet Elenin would be appreciated.

Given the heliocentric node’s influence of Comet Elenin, let’s stay with the way the Sun sees things for the rest of this Galactic Times.

From the Sun’s vantage Jupiter moves into a square with the nodes of Pluto on the 27th of May. In the past I’ve had some great success with the use of gemstones ala the prescriptions of Vedic doctrine and delineation. However, after visiting enough holes in the ground to become more aware of Pluto’s domain and obtain potent reminders about how Pluto could easily be a featured candidate on the show, Hoarders, I’m very reluctant these days to dip into the Pluto pool more than I must. Yes, oil, petrol products and the like are Pluto realm resources, too, though typically described as Neptune in astrological signatures. Until there is a solar powered car (even nuclear power requires pillaging Pluto, not to mention the tragic byproducts recently revealed), like everyone else who does not walk everywhere they go, I must use Plutonian resources. With the unrest in the Middle East we’ve watched the evident value of Pluto’s oil fluctuate upon the speculations of greed mongers. I can’t help but wonder how that’s going to work out for them. We can certainly hope the end of this month observes the high watermark of oil prices and its damaging global impact.

I’m not sure that the use of Plutonian materials to propitiate is the wisest concept. Though Pluto hoards those things he deems precious, should he take a liking to a person who walks upon the surface of the Earth, he might just pop up and reward that Earthwalker. And if so, cool. But perhaps propitiating requires a less destructive process to produce positive results.

Back to the aspect at hand, Jupiter coming to square the nodes of Pluto... Jupiter and Pluto have some sort of workable relationship. Jupiter as Pluto’s brother and god of the gods worked with Mercury (Hermes) to arbitrate with Ceres (Demeter) when Pluto (Hades) abducted her daughter, Persephone (Core) - an act that despite Ceres’ resulting rage and her willingness to cut off her nose to spite her face managed to work out in some sort of tolerable solution. So, in this aspect we have Jupiter dividing the space between the nodes of Pluto. The south node of Pluto defines his nature, comfort zone status quo and sense of karma. The north node suggests an evolutionary track, fully intended, purposeful and conscious change, and his perception of dharma. Jupiter, by squaring the nodes, applies equal consideration to both of these powerful points of view held by Pluto. Again, he arbitrates with his brother, asking what attributes of each node most contribute to his total best case scenario objective(s). With such perspective, will Pluto invoke the benevolence and generosity he is capable of rendering, or shall he hold out, manipulate and seek revenge instead of justice? Remember that this is a collective pattern and everyone experiences the influences whether tuned into the Sun’s view or not. And if one’s heliocentric horoscope fits with the degree profile herein, that person becomes an ambassador, arbitrator or messenger to the cause Jupiter and Pluto share.

To synthesize Jupiter and Pluto on a more useable level for daily life, assume that a review of your deepest beliefs, darkest thoughts, soul-based motivations, intentions for an ideal existence and raw energy sit before the review board. Truly, what are you going to do? “Do you think you have a mark to make,” this pattern asks. “If so, stop talking about it and get around to it.” This pattern is potent, and similar supporting influences occur every three years. But in the now, the inciting itch of transformation and transcendence goes trans-continental, trans-planetary and perhaps trans-solar system. The belief that everything affects everything else runs strong in the pattern’s undercurrent. The sense of knowing that if one “knows,” one must invoke that knowing within every fiber of one’s being and consciousness. Perhaps given the way this year has been thus far, that may feel a bit overwhelming. No matter. Jupiter taunts your consciousness into to sucking it up; Pluto promises that if you don’t seize the moment, regrets will follow. Together they chant, “Hey, you said you wanted to change the world. Get off your pasty posterior and put up.”

“Yeah, yeah, change the world, I’m still struggling day to day,” complains the initiate.

Isn’t there some Sun-centered guidance to deal with this personally? How about Mars square the nodes of Saturn? On the 24th that’s an alignment we all embrace. Actually this is another one of those perfectly balanced situations that comes about when transits divide the nodal axis of another planet. There’s a chance to review one’s history, tradition and protocol such that the good stuff can be kept and the obsolete junk ditched in a bin. A realistic view of goals and the resources presently available to reach those goals creates a bridge for gaining momentum and acquiring any lacking resources or developing uncultivated skills. Lamenting loses momentum. Should one count one’s blessings and come up feeling inadequate, muster the magic of motivation and move on to create opportunities, and in so doing create luck and fulfill fate.

These trends are challenging. As well, they are powerful, promising and provident for those who push themselves forward, with attentive eyes locked on purpose. Results will appear. Take it on. Pluto’s involved and he might just be persuaded by Jupiter to reward your rendering.
